Gov. Seyi Makinde, the incumbent governor of Oyo State, was congratulated by Ademola Adeleke of Osun on his victory in the March 18 governor’s election.

Makinde was named the victor of the 2023 governorship election in Oyo State, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Makinde defeated Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 256,685 votes, by a margin of 563,756 votes.
