Teslim Folarin, an APC candidate for governor in Oyo State, congratulated Seyi Makinde, the incumbent governor and PDP candidate, on his victory in the recently completed Saturday election on Monday.
Makinde reportedly received 563,756 votes, beating Folarin of the APC, who received 256,685 votes, and Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord Party, who received 38,357 votes.
“Makinde Oluseyi, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is declared winner of the poll,” state collation officer and vice-chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Adebayo Bamire said on Sunday at the state Independent National Electoral Commission’s collation center. “.
