In response to an alleged threat made by Musiliu Akinsanya, better known by his stage name MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, an investigation has reportedly been opened, according to Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State.
This was said by Owohunwa in an interview with Arise News regarding a preview of the Saturday elections for the state assembly and governorship.
Recall that in a popular video, MC Oluomo threatened to tell Igbo residents of Lagos not to bother voting if they didn’t support the All Progressives Congress (APC), the party in power.
“We have pleaded with them. It’s not a fight if they decide not to support us in the election. Tell them to sit down at home, Mama Chukwudi, if you don’t want to vote for us. At home, take a seat, he advised.
In response, Lagos CP said.
“We strongly condemn any action, statement, or speech that could be taken to be indicative of political tension. There is currently an investigation going on in relation to this particular video. “.
