MC Oluomo Recants Anti-Igbo Threat After Pressure

Igbo residents in Lagos were previously threatened by Musiliu Akinsanya, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, and MC Oluomo.

He threatened Igbos who would not vote for the APC to stay away from polling places while speaking to supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at a meeting on Thursday.

We have pleaded with them. It is not a fight if they choose not to support us. Tell them to sit down at home if they don’t want to vote for us, Mama Chukwudi. MC Oluomo had urged the audience to sit down at home.

Many people called for his arrest after the statement sparked a national outcry.

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, criticized Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and President-elect Muhammadu Buhari’s silence.

Also ordering the Cybercrimes Unit of the Command to launch an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident was Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa.

Following the CP’s appearance on television, MC Oluomo immediately released a video in which he called for peace.

“Hello to all of my brothers and sisters in the afternoon. Alhaji Musilu Ayinde Akinsanya here. Yesterday, at the meeting I attended, my sister Iya Chukwudi and I were talking. Iya Chukwudi, if you are not voting for me, sit down at home, I was telling her when the video appeared on social media.

APC is my party; count me out of the talk going around. The person I was referring to in the video was in the meeting with me, which is why I quickly went to meet her that they said you shouldn’t go out and Iya Chukwudi is here with me. “.

The woman who spoke in English and Igbo described MC Oluomo as a nice person, saying he purchases food items from her.

She expressed surprise that the MC’s light-hearted remarks about her appeared on social media.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s ally continued by saying:.

“I was only joking; I don’t threaten any Igbo people. Ask my Igbo neighbors in Oshodi; go there and look around; they will confirm that I am not threatening anyone. May God protect us from those who do not truly love us. “.

Daily Trust’s investigations, however, revealed that MC Oluomo had actually threatened Igbos.

He was heard telling Yorubas to arrive at the polling places early in a longer version of the video that went viral on Thursday.

In addition, he claimed that if an Igbo man were given the power to run Lagos, ritual killings would become widespread. He also made other negative remarks.
