According to David Akinremi, the commandant of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State, the security agency received information that the father had sold his son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, in serial trades to three different buyers at various locations in the Sango, Meiran, and Apapa area of Lagos.
Between August 2022 and February 2023, the man received payments from unidentified buyers totaling N150,000, N400,000, and N700,000. This is according to Daily Post.
According to Akinremi, the corps’ investigation showed that the man, who is suspected of working with a criminal organization, devised a method for retrieving his son from each buyer after each sale until he sold him to the final buyer, one Dr. Nosa in Apapa.
