Naira Marley, a Nigerian singer, has spoken out about elections, particularly the contest for governor of Lagos State.
Wednesday night, Naira Marley broadcast a live video on his Instagram page to express his feelings and show his support for Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu was deemed to be the ideal candidate by the singer.
He continued by saying that significant progress had been made in infrastructure and other areas, and that this progress was visible to everyone.
“I don’t support the All Progressives Congress, the People’s Democratic Party, or the Labour Party, but the way Lagos is going right now, we don’t need to start testing at all.
Sanwo-Olu is the best candidate, in my opinion. Not a penny was paid for this advertisement. He has a lot of accomplishments and experience, he said.
He claimed to be aware of Sanwo-Olu’s potential to transform Lagos.
Naira Marley stated that as a Nigerian, he could not be silenced in his choice despite the usual pattern of backlash from fans after declaring a preferred candidate.
