Former president Goodluck Jonathan urged Nigerians not to support candidates in the 2023 election who he called “killers.”
At a special interfaith service to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the founding of Akwa Ibom State, Jonathan made this statement on Sunday in Uyo.
“You must avoid voting for murderers in 2023.
“The enemies of civilization are those who will go out and kill people for political reasons while carrying knives, guns, and various other weapons.
“If you kill to rise to the top, you will kill to stay at the top.
“The masses will keep going through pain. Make sure you vote for the correct candidates in Akwa Ibom State for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and governor, said Jonathan.
