In Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, community and religious leaders have vowed to coexist in harmony and peace while avoiding all forms of hostility and resentment.

The leaders promised to work hard for the growth of the state and the country as a whole when they pledged in Jos during the Christian Rural Development Associations (CRUDAN) commemoration of the International Day of Peace.

This year’s event has the slogan “End Racism; Build Peace” as its theme.

Ruth Dull, the executive director of CRUDAN, stated in her speech that individuals should be cautious, deliberate, and aware of their biases in order to avoid racism and discrimination and treat everyone equally.

She asserted that people’s diversity is a source of strength rather than a weakness, and that individuality and distinctions need not be uniform in order for there to be unity among them.

The occasion was used by attendees to encourage Nigerians to work together for greater nationalism, peace, and tranquility.
