Reno Omokri, a sociopolitical activist, has praised Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, for meeting with Northern Christian bishops.
According to BROOM HOME, the former governor of Lagos State met with some Christian clerics yesterday while acting on behalf of the Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria.
During the discussion, Tinubu revealed that Kashim Shettima, a former governor of Borno State, was not a danger to the Christian community.
Omokri responded by writing on his social media platforms that while the action was commendable, it was insufficient.
He asserts that Tinubu and Kashim Shettima may not fare well in the 2023 presidential election on the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling party.
I applaud Bola Tinubu’s efforts to reach out to the Northern Christian community by visiting with their bishops, the writer stated. But this is insufficient. Deal with your erroneous ticket. For a Muslim-Muslim ticket, Nigeria is too split.
“Christians in Nigeria reject being treated as second-class citizens! Take a look at the Buhari predicament. A Muslim serves as the Executive’s chief (Buhari). Muslim leader of the legislature (Lawan). Additionally, the head of the judiciary is a Muslim (Ariwoola).
Muslims predominate in large numbers in the military and security forces. To what point does Tinubu want us to transition to having a Muslim president and vice president? We will NEVER tolerate it because it is the height of injustice to the Body of Christ.
