Peter Obi, a presidential candidate for the Labour Party, says that Bola Tinubu, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, is his older brother and someone he respects.
This was said in an interview on #WithChude that the show’s host, Chude Jideonwo, posted on Instagram on Monday.
Peter Obi said that Tinubu is his older brother and that he respects him for what he has done for Nigeria when he was asked about the recent video that went viral in which he was said to say that Tinubu was not fit to run Nigeria.
“Tinubu is my older brother, and I respect him for who he is,” Obi said. They have contributed in some way in the past, and they deserve to be respected and recognized when the time comes. However, I just wanted to make it clear that just because they have contributed in the past doesn’t mean they have to stay forever and ever.
They move on, and so do things.
“It’s like Brazil today. They know that Pele was a star and a great football player, but they won’t play him in the game today.”
